BIO

Jennifer has over 30 years of experience as a public health nurse, administrator and Director of Clinical Services at the �Ͼ�Ʒ�� Health Department (NKHD). After retiring from NKHD in May 2018, she began her new career as nursing faculty at NKU's School of Nursing (SON), teaching Community/Public Health nursing in the classroom and the field. In 2019, she was chosen to be the Director of the Nurse Advocacy Center for the Underserved (NACU), a non-profit collaborative between NKU's School of Nursing and numerous community agencies. Born and raised in �Ͼ�Ʒ��, she is an NKU alumnus receiving her ADN and BSN degrees. Jennifer is passionate about bringing access to care for those that need it the most in our community. She believes that giving future nurses the ability to care for the underserved in their communities touches on the core values of the nursing profession and teaches students the importance of community health.

BIO

Joan Ziegelmeyer has been a nurse for 44 years with 23 of those working at Bethesda Hospital in many positions. After the 23 years, she went back to school for a Bachelor's degree & Master's degree in the nurse practitioner program. Then, she worked 13 years in private practice. After retiring, she continued to work for NKU in the area of serving underserved populations. Ziegelmeyer started the clinic at Turfway Race Track, City Heights Clinic, & Brighton Center for Addiction.  

BIO

Lynn Brown grew up traveling the globe as an Army brat. She received a BA in English from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA, then graduated with honors from �Ͼ�Ʒ�� University with her BSN. She received a Florence Nightingale Dean's Award for Excellence in Nursing in 2013 and the �Ͼ�Ʒ�� CAC Partner of the Year Award in 2014. Lynn has worked with the NACU since 2012; also serving on transplant, GI and cardiac units in hospitals in the Cincinnati region. “Nurse Lynn is a rock star. She is the heart and soul of the NACU program and is known to help everyone in need, no matter the request.”

BIO

Dr. Teresa Huber has over 30 years of experience in nursing education and administration, having taught courses in NKU's BSN, MSN and DNP programs. Currently, she serve as the MSN Program Director. Huber am actively engaged with nursing professional organizations as well as regulatory agencies. She has served as past president of the Kentucky Nurses Association and recently served on the Kentucky Board of Nursing. Her research is in Tobacco Cessation with the Underserved, as well as Online Learning. She is also involved in several projects regarding these topics. Huber works with an underserved population at the Nurse Advocacy Center for the Underserved (NACU) in Covington, KY.
